Snohomish County’s 2014 Evergreen State Fair grandstand concert series on sale now

The Evergreen State Fair is excited to present a diverse and exciting lineup of grandstand entertainers featuringEmblem3, The Charlie Daniels Band with special guest The Marshall Tucker Band, Bill Cosby, Chris Young with special guest Courtney Cole, and Newsboys with special guest Ryan Stevenson. These entertainers offer something for everyone across all genres: country, pop, rock and comedy. Starting off the series is Emblem3, a local band with hits “Chloe,” “3,000 Miles” and more. The group has wound a path from tiny Sequim, Washington, to the precipice of Hollywood stardom and performs at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 25.Tickets are $25-$39.

The Charlie Daniels Band with special guest The Marshall Tucker Band lights up the stage at 7 p.m. Aug. 26. From his Dove award-winning gospel albums to his genre-defining southern rock anthems and CMAaward-winning country hits, few artists have left a more indelible mark on America’s musical landscape than Charlie Daniels. Tickets are $30-$53.

One of America’s most beloved comedians of all time, Bill Cosby shares his life’s observations with the grandstand audience on his “Far From Finished” tour at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 27. His comedy transcends age, gender and cultural barriers with his comedy routines, iconic albums and bestselling. Cosby won Emmys for his role in the television series “I Spy” and the “Fat Albert” and “Cosby Kids” cartoons. Perhaps Cosby’s greatest contribution to American entertainment and culture is “The Cosby Show”, which dominated the number one spot for years, earning nearly unanimous critical praise. Tickets are $33-$58.

American country music artist Chris Young is on stage at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 28. After winning the Nashville Star signing competition in 2006, Chris was signed to RCA Records Nashville and released his self-titled debut album that same year. A second album, “The Man I Want to Be”, was released September 1, 2009, and included the singles “Voices”, “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song),” and the title track, which all went to number one.Young’s third album, “Neon,” produced two more number ones in “Tomorrow” and “You” in 2011 and the Top 20 hit “I Can Take It from There” in 2012. His 2013 album “A.M.” produced the Top 5 singles “Aw Naw” and “Who I Am With You.” Courtney Cole opens the show with a 30-minute acoustic set. Tickets are $30-$53.Rock and pop-driven worship band, Newsboys, with special guest Ryan Stevenson bring their message of“God’s Not Dead” and “Born Again” to Monroe at 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29. The four-time Grammy-nominated band boasts an impressive track record with 16 albums, five gold certifications, 30 number 1 radio hits and close to 8 million units sold over their multi-decade career. Renowned for their heart-pumping live concerts, the tight-knit Newsboys unit continues to headline shows in the U.S. and around the world. Their new album, “Restart,” hit stores Sept. 10, 2013. Special Guest Ryan Stevenson currently serves as a worship leader at Vertical Church in Boise, ID. Tickets are $23-$43.

Concert tickets include fair gate admission. The Evergreen State Fairgrounds office is located on the fairgrounds

at 14405 179th Ave. SE, Monroe.
